Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information BuildMath handles and why. It applies to BuildMath on iPhone, iPad and Android. In short: your calculations stay on your device, we don't have accounts, and we never sell your data.

Data stored on your device

Your calculation tapes, saved tapes, custom calculators, theme and settings are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to us. Deleting the app deletes this data from the device, although your device's own backup (iCloud or Google) may still include it under your account.

Notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) to send occasional notifications such as updates and tips. To do this, a device token is created for your installation. On iPhone, iPad and Android 13 or later, the app asks for your permission before showing notifications. You can turn them off at any time — on iPhone and iPad in Settings → Notifications → BuildMath, and on Android in Settings → Apps → BuildMath → Notifications.

Crash reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to find and fix crashes. If the app crashes, a report is sent containing technical details such as device model, operating system version (iOS or Android), app version, the time of the crash and the code location. Crash reports do not include your calculations or tapes.

What we don't do

We don't require an account, don't collect your name, email, contacts or location, don't show ads, and don't sell or share your information for advertising.

Third-party services

Firebase is provided by Google LLC and processes the data described above under Google's privacy terms (firebase.google.com/support/privacy). Ratings and reviews are handled by Apple on the App Store and by Google on Google Play.

Children

BuildMath is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when published in the app, and the date above will be updated.
